What I learnt in church on Sunday

what i learnt in church on sunday faithsuccess
I had already concluded this topic (Killer Tips to having a happy and successful marriage), permit me to add what I learnt yesterday (Sunday) from a guest speaker – Pastor Adeyemi on Marriage.

Eccl 4:9 Two [are] better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.
Eccl 4:10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him [that is] alone when he falleth; for [he hath] not another to help him up.
Eccl 4:11 Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm [alone]?
Eccl 4:12 And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

Two (2) has become one so whatever you are doing carry your wife along.

Husband carry your wife along
Wife carry your husband along

Where there is unity, there is progress

None should lay claim to anything individually. ‘MY OWN’ then becomes ‘OUR OWN’

OUR children NOT my children
OUR car not my car
Our account not my account
OUR parents not my parents. Note when the two married, my parent now becomes our parent. It is no longer my parent. Each one now has (2 mummys and 2 daddies).

Then the following takes place

You do virtually everything together
Talk together
Eat together
Stay together
Bath together
Do everything together

TWO HAVE BECOME ONE. THEY ARE NO LONGER TWO BUT ONE
SO WHATEVER GOD HAS JOINED TOGETHER LET NO MAN PUT ASUNDER.

Matt 19:4 -6
Jesus answered, “Have you not read that from the beginning the Creator made them male and female,
and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and will be united with his wife, and the two will become one flesh’?
So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”

NOTE: AFTER THE WEDDING, THE TWO HAVE BECOME WELDED TOGETHER

PRACTICE THIS WHILE NOT FORGETTING THE OTHER (LOVE, JOY, PEACE, PATIENCE, KINDNESS, GOODNESS, FAITHFULNESS AND SELF CONTROL) AND YOU WILL EXPERIENCE A BLISSFUL MARRIAGE.

WISHING YOU ALL A HEAVEN ON EARTH MARRIAGE.

THANKS

Killer Tips to Having a happy and successful Marriage - Part 2

killer tips to having a happy successful marriage Part 2 faithsuccess2.jpg
Today we will be concluding the topic we started Yesterday - Killer Tips to Having a Happy and Successful Marriage

7. Faithfulness

Infidelity kills marriage. Husbands should be faithful to their wives, likewise wives to their husbands. Extramarital affair is an abomination, it kills.
(Heb 13:4 [KJV])
Marriage [is] honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

(Prov 5:19 [NET])
a loving doe, a graceful deer; may her breasts satisfy you AT ALL TIMES (always), may you be captivated by her love ALWAYS.

(Prov 6:26 [KJV])
For by means of a whorish woman [a man is brought] to a piece of bread: and the adulteress will hunt for the precious life.

8. Gentleness

 (Prov 15:1 [NET])
A gentle response turns away anger, but a harsh word stirs up wrath.

(Ps 147:6 [KJV])
The LORD lifteth up the meek: he casteth the wicked down to the ground.

 (Ps 37:11 [KJV])
But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

Husbands should not be harsh to their wives, likewise wives shoulnt be harsh to their husbands.
The meek will enjoy their marriage. If both parties are meek, it makes an awesome marriage.

9. Self Control

(1Cor 13:5 [KJV])
Love… is not easily PROVOKED…

(Prov 25:28 [KJV])
He that [hath] no rule over his own spirit [is like] a city [that is] broken down, [and] without walls.

Arguments, conflict and, all too often, shouting matches is not healthy for a marriage. Husbands and wife should learn to exercise self control over themselves.
Arguing, quarelling and Fighting in the presence of the children leaves a negative impact on them. This is not healthy.
The best solution instead involves seeking peace, settling your misunderstandings quietly in the bedroom not in the sitting room.

Where Men fail in marriages

1. Selfishness

It is generally accepted by marriage counselors that a man is more apt to be selfish. He is more demanding, more inclined to think of his own bodily comfort, often at his wife’s expense.

2. Harshness

(Eph 4:32 [NET])
Instead, be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ also forgave you.

(Eph 5:28 [KJV])
So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

3. Adultery

(Heb 13:4 [KJV])
Marriage [is] honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

4. Dishonesty

(Prov 11:1 [NET])
The LORD abhors dishonest scales, but an accurate weight is his delight.

(Prov 20:10 [NET])
Diverse weights and diverse measures – the LORD abhors both of them.

(Prov 20:23 [NET])
The LORD abhors differing weights, and dishonest scales are wicked.

5. Criticism

Some husbands are given to criticism.
(Matt 7:3 [KJV])
And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

(Matt 7:1 [KJV])
Judge not, that ye be not judged.

6. Not being head over their homes

(Eph 5:23 [KJV])
For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

(1Tim 3:12 [KJV])
Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.

Where Women fail in marriages

1. Nagging

(Prov 19:13 [KJV])
A foolish son [is] the calamity of his father: and the contentions of a wife [are] a continual dropping.

(Prov 21:9 [KJV])
[It is] better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house.

(Prov 21:9 [NET])
It is better to live on a corner of the housetop than in a house in company with a quarrelsome wife.

2. Domineering Tendencies

A man is the head of the house and not a woman
(Eph 5:23 [KJV])
For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

3. Adultery

(1Tim 5:6 [KJV])
But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth.

4. Ungratefulness

(Col 3:15 [NET])
Let the peace of Christ be in control in your heart (for you were in fact called as one body to this peace), and be thankful.

Ungrateful women don’t receive a lot from their hubby because they don’t appreciate it.

5. Idleness  - Full housewife

(Prov 31:27 [KJV])
She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.

(Prov 31:31 [KJV])
Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.

6. Gossip

(1Tim 5:13 [KJV])
And withal they learn [to be] idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and BUSYBODIES, speaking things which they ought not.

7. Slander

(1Tim 3:11 [NET])
Likewise also their wives must be dignified, not SLANDEROUS, temperate, faithful in every respect.

Killer tips to having a happy/successful marriage

killer tips to having a happy successful marriage faithsuccess christian
9 Keys/Formulas for a successful & Happy Marriage

LOVE, JOY, PEACE, PATIENCE/LONGSUFFERING, KINDNESS, GOODNESS, FAITHFULNESS, GENTLENESS & SELF CONTROL

(Gal 5:22-23 [NET])
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

LIKEWISE,
The Keys to a successful marriage is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: AGAINST SUCH there is no KEY.

THE NUMBER ONE KEY (MAIN KEY) TO A SUCCESSFUL MARRIAGE IS LOVE (AGAPE)

1.    Love (Selfless Love – God kind of Love; Agape)
(Eph 5:25 [KJV])
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

Characteristics of true love (agape)

(1Cor 13:4-7 [KJV])
Charity SUFFERETH LONG, [and] is KIND; charity ENVIETH NOT; charity VAUNTETH NOT ITSELF, is NOT PUFFED UP,
DOTH NOT BEHAVE ITSELF UNSEEMLY, SEEKETH NOT HER OWN, IS NOT EASILY PROVOKED, THINKETH NO EVIL;
REJOICETH NOT IN INIQUITY, but rejoiceth in the truth;
BEARETH ALL THINGS, BELIEVETH ALL THINGS, HOPETH ALL THINGS, ENDURETH ALL THINGS.

The Kind of Love we are talking about is the God kind of Love (Agape). It is not the natural human love. It is the divine Love given to an individual when he becomes born again (Galatians 5:5).

2.    Joy

(Prov 5:18 [KJV])
Let thy fountain be blessed: and REJOICE with the wife of thy youth.

(Eccl 9:9 [KJV])
Live JOYFULLY with the wife whom thou lovest all the days of the life…, which he hath given thee under the sun…

The Bible tells us that husbands should live joyfully with their wives. Both partners should live joyfully with each other, this applies to both husbands and wives not husbands alone. Nevertheless women are known to be joyful while the husband stern and frowns face, No wonder the bible addresses this verse to husbands. Please Mr. Stern! Live joyfully with your wife, be joyful always.

3.    Peace

(Prov 15:1 [NET])
A gentle response turns away anger, but a harsh word stirs up wrath.

Over time, little & trivial matters can get propelled out of proportion, and not too long, couples say or do things that are nasty to each other. This results in arguments, conflict and shouting matches.
Since the fall in the garden of Eden, It is often very difficult to see our own faults. We are always right in our own eyes, so we place the blame on others. This started in the Garden of Eden - when Adam blamed Eve, and Eve blamed the serpent (Gen. 3:12-13).
But even if it is not our fault, shouting and maintaining the other person take all the blame is not caring. The best solution instead involves seeking peace, not reprisal (Matt. 5:9; Rom. 12:17-21).

4.    Patience/Longsuffering

Husband and wives, be patient with each other, patience will save you a lot.  Husbands remember your wife is the weaker vessel, a more reason to be patient.
Wives respect your husband and be patient with him.
Unfortunately, many younger wives today have not learned the importance of this.
In Malachi 2:14, marriage is a covenant. When we took our marriage vows, we probably repeated words like "For Better or Worse."
Do you consider Divorce (giving up) in your marriage if the situation has become "worse"? God says He "hates divorce" (Malachi 2:16), and He wants you committed to your marriage for life.
Paul gave instructions to the Church not to divorce (1 Cor. 7:10-11, Matt. 19:3-9).

5.    Kindness

(Eph 4:32 [NET])
Instead, be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ also forgave you.

(Prov 31:26 [KJV])
She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue [is] the law of kindness.

Kindness from both parties is a vital key to a happy and successful marriage

6.    Goodness

(1Thess 5:15 [NET])
See that no one pays back evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good for one another and for all.

Be good to your wives, cherish her, buy gifts for her, and take good care of her
Wives, be good to your husbands, respect him. Do your duty
(1Tim 5:10 [KJV])
Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints' feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed EVERY GOOD WORK.

The Concluding part  which also includes why most men and women fail in marriages will be taken tomorrow. Thanks for reading.
We LOVE YOU!

God cannot lie...

God cannot lie, Gods word cannot waver faith success christianity

God’s Word cannot waver

The Veracity of God’s Word

(Num 23:19 [KJV])
God [is] not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do [it]? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Brethren, God’s Word is always true and does not change. It is absolute not relative. God’s word does not change with time, it is timeless. God’s Word can never fail. He can’t say one thing and mean or do another. God is not a politician that will play pranks with his Word. You can rely on God’s Word. It is infallible.

By two immutable things God cannot lie.

(Heb 6:18 [KJV])
That by two immutable things, in which [it was] impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

Are you downcast (in a bitter state/depressed mood) because a breakthrough that you have been praying for has not yet come to pass? Perhaps it has taken some time now (days, weeks or even month) and you are asking, "How will I know that I will obtain it?" Abraham faced the same situation and God guaranteed him by covenant (Gen 15:8-21), so that by two immutable things; The ‘INFALIBILITY OF HIS WORD (IMMUTABILITY OF HIS COUNSEL)’ and ‘THE OATH’ God cannot lie.

My brethren, God has bound Himself to a covenant, an irreversible guarantee of His blessings and provision in your life, and it is all for our benefit. THE BREAKTHROUGH YOU ARE WAITING FOR IS GUARANTEED BY AN OATH YOU NEED NOT BE DISCOURAGED!

By Patience inherit the promise

(Heb 6:15 [KJV])
And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

Patience cannot be left out in or Work with God. God is a patient God so we his sons should learn from our father. Patience is one of the fruit of the spirit, It is a virtue. We leave in a world where everyone wants it fast (fast foods, fast everything) but Patience is a key to receiving the promise of God in our lives.

(Heb 10:35-36 [KJV])

Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.  FOR YE HAVE NEED OF PATIENCE, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

Delay is not denial; Let us have patience in our walk with God.

You Have unparalleled righteousness

picture first-class-righteousness-faith-success-christianity-Jesus
2 Corinthians 5:21- KJV
For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

2 Corinthians 5:21 - TLB
For God took the sinless Christ and poured into him our sins. Then, in exchange, he poured God's goodness into us!

What is Righteousness?

Righteousness is the ability to stand before God without any sense of condemnation, inferiority complex, fear, sin consciousness or anything of such. Righteousness simply means right standing with God.

Should we work to become righteousness?

Some Christians believe that they have to work at becoming more righteous.

No! Righteousness is the rightness with God that springs forth from believing in God.

Rom 4:3 - KJV
For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.

Rom 4:3 - TLB
For the Scriptures tell us Abraham believed God, and that is why God canceled his sins and declared him "not guilty."

Righteousness is a gift from God to us through Jesus. And since it is a gift, we cannot earn it by keeping the law. We can only receive it!

How do we receive this gift?

We receive the gift of righteousness by believing in Jesus as our Lord and savior. We receive it by faith (believing) that Jesus died in our place (for our sins) and rose up on the third day for our Justification. God made Jesus "who knew no sin to be sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God in Him". So, we are the righteousness of God in Christ. We are as righteous as Jesus is!

Do we have classes of righteousness?

But some of us think that in the body of Christ, there are different classes of righteousness, like we have university degrees – First Class, Second Class, Third Class, Pass and Fail

Some believe their pastor/prophet’s righteousness is – First class, while their own is second class or third class. No wonder they don’t have the boldness to pray to God. They always want somebody else to pray to God on their behalf

That is not what the Scripture says! When God gave us Jesus, He took our place (unrighteousness). So we all (Believers/Christians) have His righteousness (First Class). This means that we are absolutely righteous in God's eyes! We cannot but have first-class righteousness!

At the cross of Calvary, the divine exchange took place. Jesus took our place so that we might become the righteousness of God. He was spotless (without sin), but He was made sin in our place. We did not deserve to be made righteous, but we were made righteous because of what Jesus did for us (Grace).

This is awesome!

What a gospel (good news)!

What an undeserving grace!

Nine things God wants to do for you

9 things God wants to do for you faith success christianity

Below are nine things God wants to do for you as written in Psalm 91.

Ps 91:14 - 16 KJV
Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him:  I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I [will be] with him in trouble;  I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

Ps 91:14-16 - MSG
14 "If you'll hold on to me for dear life," says GOD, "I'll get you out of any trouble. I'll give you the best of care if you'll only get to know and trust me.  Call me and I'll answer, be at your side in bad times; I'll rescue you, then throw you a party.  I'll give you a long life, give you a long drink of salvation!"

Ps 91:14-16 - NET
The LORD says, “Because he is devoted to me, I will deliver him;  I will protect him because he is loyal to me.  When he calls out to me, I will answer him.  I will be with him when he is in trouble; I will rescue him and bring him honor. I will satisfy him with long life, and will let him see my salvation.

Ps 91:14-16 - TLB
For the Lord says, "Because he loves me, I will rescue him; I will make him great because he trusts in my name.  When he calls on me, I will answer; I will be with him in trouble and rescue him and honor him. I will satisfy him with a full life and give him my salvation.

Ps 91:14-16 - GNT
God says, "I will save those who love me and will protect those who acknowledge me as LORD.
When they call to me, I will answer them; when they are in trouble, I will be with them.
I will rescue them and honor them.  I will reward them with long life; I will save them."

•    Number 1: He wants to protect you - Ps 91:4

God wants to protect you. He is the Great Protector. There is no security in man, money nor in horses (Psalm 20:7), armour cars, bodyguards, dogs etc. God is the ultimate protector. All who trust in other gods will be put to shame – Psalm 16:4. God wants to be your protector

Zech 2:4-5 - NIV
and said to him: "Run, tell that young man, 'Jerusalem will be a city without walls because of the great number of men and livestock in it. And I myself will be A WALL OF FIRE (PROTECTION) around it,' declares the LORD, 'and I will be its glory within.'

Ps 55:22 - NIV
Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; HE WILL NEVER LET THE RIGHTEOUS FALL.

•    Number 2: He wants to keep you free from sickness - Ps 91:10

The will of God for us is to be in health. Regardless of our backgrounds, age, statuses etc, God wants us to be whole. John 3:2 further buttresses this point. Sickness is as a result of disobedience to God. He wants us to be in perfect health spiritually, emotionally and physically.

Ps 107:19-20- NIV
Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress.  20 He sent forth his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave.

Ps 103:2-5 - NIV
Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits —  who forgives all your sins and HEALS ALL YOUR DISEASES,   who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion,  who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.
Also Related:  101 things God said about healing.

•    Number 3: He wants to set you on high (Psalm 91:14 KJV), i.e. give you the best of care (Psalm 91:14 MSG).

God want the best for us and to set us on High -Jer 29:11. He was the one that raised David from a shepherd to a King, turned Moses from a murderer to a prophet, turned Rahab from a prosptitue to a faith hero, turned Abraham from the father of none to father of many nations. God is the Great promoter (Psalm 75:6).

•    Number 4: He wants to make you a wonder - Ps 91:7

God made Joseph a wonder to his brothers, he made David a wonder, made Solomon a wonder, He is still in the business of making people “a wonder”. He said we are the light of the world, the whole creation is waiting for our (Sons of God) manifestation.

•    Number 5: He wants to answer you when you call upon Him - Ps 91:15.

Yes, God wants to answer us when we call upon him. Below are scriptural examples and promises concerning this.
2 Kings 20:5-6 - NIV
"Go back and tell Hezekiah, the leader of my people, 'This is what the LORD, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you. On the third day from now you will go up to the temple of the LORD. I will add fifteen years to your life. And I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria.
John 13:14 -
'whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do,

Jeremiah 33:3 -,
"Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not."

Matthew 7:7,8
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:  For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

•    Number 6: He wants to be with you in trouble - Ps 91:15;

I [will be] with him in trouble. God has promised never to leave us nor to forsake us. He has promised to be with us in trouble he said whenever we pass through water, fire etc. He will be with us . God does not forsake the righteous. He is a PRESENT help in times of trouble.

•    Number 7: He wants to deliver and honour you - Ps 91:15.

PSALM 34:19
Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.

JAMES 5:13, 14
Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.  Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders...

Ps 107:19-20- NIV
Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress.

2 Chron 1:12 - NIV
therefore wisdom and knowledge will be given you. And I will also give you wealth, riches and HONOR, such as no king who was before you ever had and none after you will have."

•    Number 8: He want to satisfy you with long life - Ps 91:16

Here God promised solomon long life(1 Kings 3:14).

1 Kings 3:14- NIV
And if you walk in my ways and obey my statutes and commands as David your father did, I will give you A LONG LIFE.

    Ps 21:4 - NIV
4 He asked you for life, and you gave it to him — length of days, for ever and ever.

Ps 128:6 - NIV
and may you live to see your children's children.

•    Number 9: He wants to show you his salvation (saving power) - Ps 91:16

1 Tim 2:4-5 – NIV
who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 5

   1 Thess 5:9-10 - NIV
For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Ps 37:39-40 - NIV
The salvation of the righteous comes from the LORD; he is their stronghold in time of trouble.
The LORD helps them and delivers them; he delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they take refuge in him.

Jer 3:22-23 - NIV
"Return, faithless people; I will cure you of backsliding." "Yes, we will come to you, for you are the LORD our God.  23 Surely the [idolatrous] commotion on the hills and mountains is a deception; surely in the LORD our God is the salvation of Israel.

These blessings are conditional, only for those that LOVE GOD and put their trust on him.

A Sinner's Prayer to Receive Jesus as Savior - Christianity

A Sinner's Prayer to Receive Jesus as Savior

sinners pray to receive jesus as saviour christianity

Dear Heavenly Father ...

I come to You in the Name of Jesus.

Your Word says, "... him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out" (John 6:37), so I know You won't cast me out, but You take me in and I thank you for it.

You said in Your Word, "Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Rom. 10:13). I am calling on Your name, so I know You have saved me now.

You also said "if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation" (Rom. 10:9,10). I believe in my heart Jesus Christ is the Son of God. I believe that He was raised from the dead for my justification, and I confess Him now as my Lord. Because Your Word says, "... with the heart man believeth unto righteousness ..." and I do believe with my heart, I have now become the righteousness of God in Christ (2 Cor. 5:21)... And I am saved!

Thank You Lord!

If you have prayed this (simple) prayer, congratulations. you have now been tranlated to the kingdom of God (kingdom of Light). Welcome to the family of God.

Please let no man take this away from you. do not argue with anybody as regarding whether you are born again/saved or not. neither argue with nobody as regarding whether Jesus is the messiah. rather grow stronger in Jesus by studying his word.

Note- Find a bible believing Church so as to fellowship with God and other believers, so as to grow stronger in Jesus Christ.
