Not many mighty are called...

Not many mighty are called faithsuccess christianity
1 Corinthians 1:26 - KJV
For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not
many mighty, not many noble, are called.

1 Cor 1:26-27 -  GWT
Brothers and sisters, consider what you were when God called you to be Christians. Not many of you were wise from a human point of view. You were not in powerful positions or in the upper social classes.

1 Cor 1:26-27 – TLB
Notice among yourselves, dear brothers, that few of you who follow Christ have big names or power or wealth.  Instead, God has deliberately chosen to use ideas the world considers foolish and of little worth in order to shame those people considered by the world as wise and great.

You may think that you are a nobody, (not wise, not mighty, not noble according to the flesh) or even people might have called all sort of bad names foolish, chicken bone, “Good for nothing bad faced worm” etc

Don’t be discouraged because the scripture says that, those not wise, not mighty or not
noble according to the flesh are a key candidate to be called, for they have nothing to be boastful of.

And when He begins to use you, you will see His glory and power change your life.
.

(James 2:5) - paraphrased
God has chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith; as sons of God, and inherit the wealth of the kingdom.

There is a popular slogan which says God does not call the qualified but qualifies the called. God does not call those that seem perfect in their sight, No, he calls the imperfect to perfect them.

The Bible tells us Moses was a stammarer (Ex 4:10)
Peter was a fisherman and not a scholar (Matt 4:18-22)
Abraham was called alone and God made him father of nations (Isa 51:2)
Gideon was from the weakest clan in Manasseh (in Isreal) to save the whole Israel from the Midianites (Judg 6:11-16)
Amos from a shepherd to a Prophet (Amos 7:14-15)
Matthew from a tax collector to an apostle (Matt 9:9)
Rahab from a prostitute to a hero of faith (Josh 2:8-21)
Jephthah from the son of a prostitute to a Judge in Isreal (Judg 11)
Among others…

My Brethren, don’t let anything hinder you from Jesus (your success), when you think that you are weak and small compared to others in the world, then Remember (1 Cor 12:6 – God has not called the mighty according to the flesh). This is when God can use you to do wonders to for Him! Rise up for Jesus!

Top 10 things every new Christian should know - Part 2

top ten things every new christian should know faith success Part2

Fact 7: You need to be baptized in Water

Water baptism is necessary for every Christian. It is the Lord’s command. Peter declared “...Repent and be baptized, every one of you...” (Acts 2:38).

Water baptism in itself does not save you or wash away your sins, but is an act of your obedience in God’s Word.

Symbolically, it shows that you have died to the old sinful life, and have risen  in the newness of the Life of Christ.

Fact 8: You need to Pray every day

Prayer is the communication between you and God. Prayer is vital to your spiritual growth. God is your Heavenly Father, and He wants us to commune with each other. Not only will he answer your prayer requests, but as you pray He will provide specific guidance and strengthen us spiritually.

The scripture says in (1 Thessalonians 5:17) to  “Pray continually,”. i.e every time (without season)

Fact 9: You should tell others about Christ

You have seen the light of God also help others by helping them to see this light. God will reward every labour of Love. Sharing the gospel as a Christian is a command by God (Mark 16:15). Let us be fruitful like Jesus

Fact 10: You need the Holy Ghost Baptism for Service

The Holy Ghost is described as our Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener and Standby.

John 14:26 - AMP
But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things…

We need to be baptized in the Holy Ghost for effective witness of Jesus Christ. It is a gift of power

(Acts 1:8 [KJV])

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Extra:

You need to know that Christian living is not a bed of roses.

As it is, we are sons of God, but in a wicked world, Jesus let us know that we will face persecution in this evil world but we should rejoice for he has overcome the world for us. People of this world we hate us, speak evil about us for we are no longer of this world (of their evil deeds).

(John 16:33 [KJV])
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Doctrine of Laying of Hands

The bible has  a lot to say about Laying of hands, but in summary laying of hands is used for the following purposes:

Transmitting of blessings/Ministering a gift

DEUTERONOMY 34:9
9 And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; FOR MOSES HAD LAID HIS HANDS UPON HIM: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the Lord commanded Moses.

Transmitting of curses

EXODUS 29:10
10 And thou shalt cause a bullock to be brought before the tabernacle of the congregation: and Aaron and his sons shall put their hands upon the head of the bullock.

Healing the sick (Matt 16:17-18)

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Ordination into the ministry

ACTS 13:2,3
2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.

3 And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.

Holy Ghost Baptism
(Acts 19:6 [KJV])
And when Paul had laid [his] hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

Summary (Heb 6:1-2)

These 10 can be summarized into 6 headings
REPENTANCE FROM DEAD WORKS- you are saved by faith not works
FAITH TOWARD GOD – trust in God, he is able
DOCTRINE OF BAPTISMS – baptism into the body of Christ, baptism of the Holy Ghost
LAYING ON OF HANDS – transferring of blessings/curses
RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD – the dead will resurrect to  be Judged
ETERNAL JUDGMENT – God will one day Judge all men,  one to the eternal condemnation and other to eternal life (Separation of sheep from goats)

Top 10 things every new Christian should know

top ten 10 things every new christian should know faith success.

(Heb 6:1-2 [KJV])
Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; NOT LAYING AGAIN THE FOUNDATION OF REPENTANCE FROM DEAD WORKS, AND OF FAITH TOWARD GOD, OF THE DOCTRINE OF BAPTISMS, AND OF LAYING ON OF HANDS, AND OF RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD, AND OF ETERNAL JUDGMENT.

The greatest miracle/blessing that can ever happen to man is the miracle/blessing of salvation. It is the most important decision ever made by man; It is the beginning of a new life as a new creature (a child of God).

Here are top ten things that every new Christian should know

Fact 1: You are saved by faith not of works

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9).

It is not because you are good that you are saved, it is as a result of God’s overflowing mercy (His unmerited Grace). Every man was born bad (a Sinner/in a condemned state)

Fact 2: You are forgiven but not yet perfect

The idea that you are a Christian and that you can’t make mistakes is not true. You have a new born spirit (having the nature of God) but your soul (mind) and flesh is still that old one. Therefore you have to renew your mind with the word of God (for those God forbidden thoughts are still there) and put you flesh under ( for the flesh is at enmity with God, the desires of the flesh are sinful/carnal desires).

Therefore if we sin we have an advocate with the father Jesus Christ the righteous

1 John 2:1
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous

Fact 3: You have the Spirit of God in you

When you gave your life to Jesus, you received the Holy Spirit into your heart. This is what makes you a part of the church – the spirit of God in you. This is not the same as Holy Ghost Baptism (which is accompanied with the evidence of speaking in tongues). There is the Spirit within (for personal edification) and the Spirit upon (for service, for witness) but nevertheless still the same Holy Spirit.
(Rom 8:9 [KJV])
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Fact 4: You have received Eternal Life

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life” (John 3:16).

The scripture says that when you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour and receive him into your heart, you have received eternal life. In order words, when your physical body (earthly tabernacle) wears out and dies, your Spirit and soul will go to be with the Lord to spend eternity with Him! No condemnation (hell) for you.

Fact 5: You must keep living for Christ

You must understand that your salvation is based upon your “continued” relationship with Jesus. He has promised to keep you saved, as long as you keep believing and living for Him.

The Bible says, Christ will one day present us before God, holy and unblemished

“...If you continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope held out in the Gospel” (Colossians 1:23).

(2Pet 1:5-11[KJV])
And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
For if these things be in you, and abound, they make [you that ye shall] neither [be] barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
WHEREFORE THE RATHER, BRETHREN, GIVE DILIGENCE TO MAKE YOUR CALLING AND ELECTION SURE: FOR IF YE DO THESE THINGS, YE SHALL NEVER FALL:
For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

2 Peter 1:10-11 - TLB
So, dear brothers, work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen, and then you will never stumble or fall away.  And God will open wide the gates of heaven for you to enter into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The doctrine of once saved can continue to sin and that there is no more condemnation for him is wrong. Living righteously is vital for every Christian, we need to keep living for Christ (Our new master)

Fact 6: You need to Study the Word of God daily

The Bible is God’s manual for living. Just as you cannot operate a foreign equipment without the manual, likewise you cannot live a victorious Christian life outside God’s Word

As a new Christian there are a lot of things God want to reveal to you.  God wants to show you his ways, He wants to guide you in this evil world  (The world is wicked, Satan is the god of this world and he wants evil to befall every man). The Father wants to be close to you. The study of the word of God will enlighten your mind and make you know more about God and Jesus.  Studying the bible daily will result in your Spiritual growth (2 Timothy 2:15).

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path” (Psalms 119:105).

The Fear of God

The Fear of God  ...Towards Being Wise

faithsuccess wisdom picture christianity fear of God Jesus
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever. Psalm 111:10

We have heard a lot of people call themselves wise, boasting of their great wisdom and how influential they are but these ones do not regard God nor His Word. They have Sin as their best friend, adviser , counselor and Master, no wonder they end up in misfortune.

Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die. Ezekiel 18:4

The book of James talks about two kinds of Wisdom - Wisdom from God and Wisdom not from God (earthly and sensual wisdom). In this context, We shall focus on the true kind of Wisdom, Wisdom from above (Godly Wisdom). True Wisdom is the Wisdom that is from above. the other type of wisdom is what the scriptures calls wisdom that comes to naught.

The Beginning of True Wisdom

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever. Psalm 111:10

The fear of the Lord is  necessary  for anyone that wants to triumph in life. It is also very  important to anyone who desires to enrol with the WISE. The person who fears the Lord, the Lord will help.

Lets examine the following cases- people that feared God and excelled and people that were wise in their mind without fearing God. lets see their end.

The Case of Joseph

In chapter 41 of Genesis, wisdom lifted him to a position of authority, and he became a ruler in the land of Egypt.

And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art: Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou. And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt. Genesis 41:39-41

But he walked in  wisdom by regarding Gods Word. He said, "... how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?" (Genesis 39:9.) And also, "...For I fear God"(Genesis 42:18).

The Case of Daniel

Daniel also arrived on the scene and would not defile himself with the king's rich food; therefore, God lifted him. Any man can be distinguished and enthroned on the earth today, if he will part ways with sin.

What man is he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.

The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will show them his covenant.
Psalm 25:12,14

The Case of Jesus

The scripture says, that men marvelled at His wisdom, and exclaimed,"What wisdom is this!". But that was because He did not toy with sin. Jesus was Lord over every element of nature.

As long as a person fears God, He is in charge! making it impossible for Him to be under any form of physical, mental or spiritual oppression.

Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than my enemies: for they are ever with me. Psalm 119:98

God's wisdom makes you wiser than sickness, barrenness, poverty, failure, etc; and when a man is wiser than his enemy, he overcomes the enemy easily!

That is why the enemy strives to corrupt you with iniquity, to ensure that you don't get wiser than him, so he can keep oppressing you. Wisdom  (Fear of God) takes you to the realm of exploits, victory and outstanding success; but it is only accessible by the fear of the Lord!

The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him; and he will show them his covenant.
Psalm 25:14

True Wisdom demands purity

Let's be at variance with Sin

Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour. Proverbs 14:9
Everyone that mocks at sin is a fool and ends up in mockery.

You have a glorious destiny in Christ Jesus which you cannot afford to sink with sin. Sin is a sinker, it can sink the destiny of a man like lead in water. Sin is also as dangerous as poison. In other words, it is a murderer!

The Case of Samson

Look at Samson. He was born a prophet, called while he was conceived in his mother's womb. He grew and became a mighty warrior, yet he allowed his enemies to rejoice over him. Sin destroyed him. He was slain by fornication!

The Case of Solomon

What about the man Solomon? He was an embodiment of wisdom in the Old Testament; yet his wisdom was corrupted through immorality.
But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites. 1 Kings 11:1

Solomon's wives turned his heart away from the Lord, the Source of his wisdom, and his wisdom was converted to folly. So at the end of his journey on earth, everything was vanity to him (Ecclesiastes. 1:1-2). Sin is a destroyer. Its victims end their lives in regrets.

The principal reason Jesus came is to remove the heavy weight of sin tied around the neck of humanity. Remember that when you tie a heavy weight to anything and drop it in a river, it sinks. To enable it float again, you would need to remove that heavy weight.

Now that Jesus has removed the heavy weight of sin from off our necks, we can get back on top! We can go up in life operating the wisdom of God.

And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding. Job 28:28

Sin Kills The Mind

T. L. Osborn once said, "When you sin, something in you dies."

The Case of Adam

That was the lot of Adam after the fall. Although he was the man who had single-handedly named all the animals, when he sinned his mind was corrupted, so he used leaves as clothes to cover his nakedness.

Leaves! That was strange, because it was a well known fact that Adam was walking in the same mental realm as God. He had the mind of God. Yet, the moment sin came, his mind was corrupted and could no longer function at its original capacity.

CONFESSION: Lord Jesus, I have heard your word today, i refuse from this day to walk against your written word, i will fear you from henceforth and will work in all your ways. In Jesus Name i Pray, Amen.

The Master Plan

The Master Plan

master plan faithsuccess.org Jesus Christianity
John 10:10  -The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly.

Gen 2:16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:Gen 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

It was never God's plan for man die neither was it in his plan for man to suffer, lack etc. Gods will for man was to dwell in the realm of abundance (abundant life). This was the master plan. In the beginning when God finished he creation of the heavens and earth he gave man total dominion of his works and made him king on earth.
This is Gods master plan for man to represent him here on earth. to be the God of this world.

However man betrayed God's trust by disobeying the commandment of God and sold his birthright to Satan making Satan the god of this world. He handed over the keys of life to Satan by disobeying the Word of God.

Gen 3:6 - And when the woman saw that the tree {knowledge of good and evil} [was] good for food, and that it [was] pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make [one] wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

This resulted in the death of Man. Man fell from the realm of abundance to the realm of poverty, lack, sickness, hatred, sin, folly etc

Gods master plan is still valid even till today. God has not changed and wll never change his mind/master plan.

Because of this God sent his only begotten son to this world to die for our sins and restore the master plan. Thank God this master plan has been restored even though we do not see it now, it has been restored.

it is our duty as Christians to renew our mind to His Word. this is the way we can come to terms with God as touching his great plan for humanity. Beloved every man in Christ has free access to abundant life. the abundant life cannot be exhausted. it is abundant, overflowing, eternal, without end (everlasting).

There is health, wealth, grace, security, favour, help, breakthrough, etc in this life given by Christ Jesus. Go for the abundant life now, take it! it is yours!

The devil is the thief that comes to prevent people from seeing/taking this abundant life.

Take it, it is yours.
Take all that God has for you

Believers prayer: Father, I know that you sent you son Jesus Christ for me to have abundant life. I take possession of this abundant life for it belongs to me in Jesus Name. I refuse to settle for less than what you planned for me. I walk in your perfect plan for my life. I walk in abundance.

Sinners prayer

I need help; how can I witness for Christ

I need help; how can I witness for Jesus Christ

witness for Jesus christ Christianity
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. (Mark 16:15 KJV)
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear. (1 Peter 3:15 KJV)

But the Lord said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the Lord. (Jeremiah 1:7-8 KJV)

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. (Acts 1:8 KJV)
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. (Romans 1:16 KJV)

Since you are saved (seen God’s Light), you have to share the gospel with the people around you. You must not be selfish with your salvation.
This is a commandment from God. We should share the Love of Jesus with others and prevent them from eternal destruction (hell).
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (Matthew 28:18-20 KJV)
Sharing the Gospel can be a nervous task. Eloquent persons have become stammerers during the course of sharing the gospel. Lively persons and talkatives have become dull and quiet when it comes to sharing the gospel.

Reasons for not being able to share the Gospel effectively

·         Being Scared (afraid) of God as that wicked Judge, just waiting for you to make mistakes
·         Inadequate preparation – inability to memorise scriptures
·         Preaching out of compulsion even when you don’t understanding what the gospel (Good news not Bad news) is
·         Trying to quote a lot of scriptures
·         Trying to speak KJV (Non modern) English instead of their natural way of speaking
·         Having a wrong mindset that preaching is very difficult
·         Lack of Zeal

Nevertheless I will correct these wrong attitudes as well as give other methods of sharing the gospel.
·         God is not a wicked Judge, He is a loving father (Jn 3:16) willing to forgive all your sins as you ask for pardon and grant you more grace. (Heb 4:16)
·         You don’t need to quote a lot of scriptures and confuse the main message, understand what you are preaching and give it in clear terms.
·         Speaking  KJV (Non modern) English does not make one spiritual. Preach the gospel in modern English. If you are finding that version of bible difficult to understand, get a bible in simple English (NIV, TLB etc). Ignorance is a killer
·         “I can’t do I mindset” is a wrong mindset. Preaching is not difficult my brother/sister just as speaking is not difficult. Preaching is as easy as discussion after a football match. It only requires training
·         Be Zealous for God. God hates lukewarmness

Some other means of Sharing the Gospel

·         Giving of Tracts
·         Through a bible Study group
·         Discussion
·         Through Stickers/Banners/Billboards/Magazines
·         Through Christian movies
·         Through phone calls/text message
·         Though social network
·         Among many…

FaithSuccess Tip: you can get a mentor or partner so as to make sharing the Gospel easy (2 Tim 2:2)
